Following the 6month old strike,Student representatives,supported by other student council across the country have resolved to embark on a two week warning strike regardless of the possitive agreement reached by the two opposing parties 'ASUU and fg'
The president of the students welfare of universities 'SWV' diclosed this while adressing the student union representatives of different universities
In his statement he said 'The fg and ASUU regards us as mediocres,unrecognised and less important people who has no say in an issue that has kept us out of school for over 6months and hence feels we can be toissed around with little or no regard for our future.forgeting that without the students there wouldn't have been any organisation as 'ASUU' or their demands or will the lecturers lecture an empty classrooms?. our voice must be heard'.He added that the federal goverment has to do something about the rentage of the student that got wasted during the course of the strike.
members of the meeting consisting of over 26 university(fed and state alike),concluded that the govt should subsidize imensely the fees of all victimize versity nationwide or the students(private university exclusive) all over the country will embark on a two weeks warning strike to resume on 6th jan 2014.
The three hour closed door meeting which held several representative from different schools,ended in a sad note as students walked out with frowned faces...REd eye tinz..
NB:Even if the strike is called of now no resumption till next yr-jan 6th due to this ish.
