I do agree with the marketing strategy idea. But this mass production of fake Toyota products are not even done by Toyota, they are manufactured and circulated by our own people. For instance, u can't be sure what brake pad is the original one to use for your Toyota.

That is done by fraudulent people trying to cash-in on the popularity of a brand. Its not Toyota's fault that their products are very well accepted in Nigeria.
NB: I believe Toyota as a dealership network in Nigeria. Why do people not walk into Toyota dealership directly to buy any required spare parts ? Awoof dey run belle !!!!

Has much as I agree with other comments on toyota I don't agree on this! I have travelled all over Nigeria & know toyota does not make up even 62% of cars driven in Nigeria: you also have Honda which are preferred more to toyota in the North, nissan, v.wagen, hyundai, kia, benz, mazda, ford, bmw, range, volvo, scoda etc. Please do your maths properly.
