How Do Television Stations Track Their Audence? by guru25(m): 11:36pm On Dec 18, 2013
Plz ooh, I want to ask this question ooh (pardon my ignorance).
How do television stations track their traffic (number of audience they have). Like how many people that watch AIT , NTA , CNN etc.

For example, we have web softwares to track website traffic. so Webmasters can actually know when they are losing or gaining audience.

Why am I asking?
I decided to watch NTA today (as a patriotic naija guy) but got discouraged with the picture quality and I decided not watch NTA again (Now,they've lost one viewer). Then I thought , what if everybody in Nigeria decides not to watch NTA this night... How will they know that nobody is watching their broadcast?

How will they know that their audience is reducing?

Plz don't tell me about feedback...

Constructive Answers only plz.

Thanks

Its not yet an electronic thing in Naija, more so its not a pay-view station. Its done by random survey. IMO.
