So AVB got the sack last week. And while Tottenham were getting hammered by Liverpool on his last match, Adebayor and Assou-Ekotto were taking pictures:

Juuuust chilling....

After the match, Tottenham fans went crazy and were baying for their blood; asking that neither player set foot again on a pitch in or outside England in the spurs jersey again. Even fans of other clubs joined in calling them the worst professionals ever and calling Adebayor football’s biggest mercenary (which isn’t true. That honor belongs to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Adebayor sits in second place) and railing against all the cash that was being paid to these useless African players.

Well guess whose two goals helped Tottenham to their win against Southampton this last weekend?

Last week when the whole furore was still at fever pitch at both players (Adebayor suffering more of the insults) I did point out that it was never in AVB’s best interests to keep one of the team’s better strikers on the fringes. Adebayor has never been the loyal kind, not by a stretch, so I’m surprised spurs fans were expecting him to be. However, hate him or live him, that guy knows how to be a striker in England unlike, I dunno, a certain Roberto Soldado who hasn’t done much in front of opponent’s goal posts asides taking penalties. Since the penalty figures for Spurs had dwindled, so had Soldado looked more and more ordinary. It was really baffling that spurs took so much chasing him, only to have him pushed to the outer edges.

AVB won’t have the opportunity to redeem himself as he has already been shown the door. Adebayor has, of course, as he is still at the club. And he is already grabbing it by the horns.

Show that guy love and trust in his abilities and he will die on that pitch for you. Thats a fact. End of the day he is human like the rest of us irrespective of the amount of money he earns. AVB failed to realize that.

AVB licking his wounds. I would love for him to coach a team Adebayor would play against, so when he scores, he can sprint the length of the entire pitch to celebrate in front of AVB's unhappy face.

You guys don't really know Adebayor.
He's unrelible, seriously.

He operates by 'initial gra-gra'.

Remember in Arsenal when we needed him, he went 10 matches goal drough.
In Man-city, same thing, started scoring goals and later, drought.
On loan in Madrid, he netted two or three and again.., draught.

Same for spurs till injury called after him.

Mark my words, he'll soon do what he does best.., goal drought undecided
