Please,football aficionado in the house should kindly help me answer the aforementioned. Since I was born and like other most nairalanders do not know as to why india don't join other countries to play football. Perhaps,Is it true that india gave Nigeria 100 goals to nothing retrospectively. |

I got this from a post online from an Indian guy. (1) Soccer does not attract Money compared to Cricket. So, parents are not interested and push children for Cricket instead. (2) Talents are not picked up and nurtured and eventually get lost due to lack of scouting. (3) Refereeing promotes bad plays. Skillful players often get fouled by illegal tackles but fouls are not given. Basically it becomes more of a physical fight than skill. (4) IPL drew a lot of attention away from soccer through WC is getting it back. (5) There are not enough coaches. (6) Nobody seems to understand or even try to understand how the modern game is played. (7) Players lack discipline and this may sound harsh but a major part of the players are very low standard people for whatever may be the reason.- Thats the reason I could not join a club because all other guys were just so rude and 3rd grade people.
