I have seen similar cases where website seems to go under maintenance or construction but what actually could have warrant a website to go offline. I tried surfing nairaland not quite long and all i saw was website is offline.

Hmmm... I never knew that Nairaland uses cloudflare. The good thing is, the site is back up, although I didn't notice it was offline. |

A website being offline is mostly as a result of the server where it is hosted. Being machines, these servers also have their own 'downtimes' hence the term, 99.9% uptime. During the .1% downtime, a site could be offline as your screen shot indicates. Hope you are cleared? |
