A Kenya tenager without formal education has invented an anti- theft device capable of working with any motor vehicle.A unique feature of this invention is that the system send a text message /callĀ  the owner to inform of an attempt to steal its vehicle.

The guy tried but the techno behind it is simple. I can install it as well. The invention while it could be new in Africa, it aint new in America, europe or asia. Time is runing out on him, he need to act now other wise it would be common knowledge.

@kenflipper
How much do you think you can install a functional one on a Honda Accord 2005?
Re: Kenya Made Vehicle Anti Theft System by kenflipper(m): 10:02pm On Aug 10, 2008
It would cost N50,000 naira one time payment for installation, and you dont have to pay anything else, no yearly fees as most firms who are into tracking device would request. All you need is to ensure that your car battery is always intact. That way once your car is stolen, you can track it and hear whatever conversation the criminals might be making while driving it.

I'm glad to hear such good news coming out of Africa, instead of all the conflicts and diseases that are always reported by big media companies like CNN, BBC and co. The rest of the world has forgotten that Africa has some serious talents and innovative ideas.

Very clever. However, compatibilty with sensitive electronics system MIGHT be an issue. Especially the likes of infinity, BMW, BENZ etc Some of these cars use fibre optics wiring and you better know what the hell you are doing.
