Victor Moses Liverpool Loan Deal Should Be Terminated Says Former Club Striker. by knick(m): 3:22pm On Jan 08, 2014
FORMER Liverpool legend John Aldridge has warned Super Eagles winger Victor Moses to get his act
together of face the prospect of having his loan deal with the club terminated and sent packing.
Moses, 23, joined Liverpool on a season-long loan deal in September and it had been expected that he
would become another Anfield wonder. However, since arriving from Chelsea, Moses has featured very little
for Liverpool despite the club's spate of injuries and when his does play, his performance has been
questionable.
Last Sunday, Moses had another terrible outing during an FA Cup tie against Oldham which Liverpool won
2-0. Putting in what was seen as a lethargic and non-committal performance, Liverpool's manager
Brendan Rodgers substituted Moses at half time.
Writing in the Liverpool Echo, former Reds striker John Aldridge said he believes that Moses needs to
improve his attitude or risk having his loan-deal terminated and sent back to Chelsea. Using his column at
the newspaper to air his views, Mr Aldridge said he feels that Moses may be taking his stay at Liverpool
for granted.
Singling out Moses’ performance against Oldham Athletic on Sunday, Mr Aldridge said the player showed
no heart and passion on the pitch. He added: "Victor Moses was handed a big opportunity when Brendan
Rodgers brought him to Liverpool FC from Chelsea last summer as not many players get the chance to go
out on loan to a bigger club but I don’t think he realises how lucky he is.
“The Nigeria international could have no complaints about being hauled off at half-time of Sunday’s 2-0
win over Oldham. He looked completely disinterested in that opening 45 minutes and gave the manager
little option.
“There was no desire, no spirit. Maybe he’s lacking a bit of confidence or maybe he’s just unhappy
because he’s played so little recently."
According to Mr Aldridge, Moses did not appear to be in the right frame of mind and it might have been
an error to invite him to the club. He added that if Moses wants to stay at Liverpool until the end of the
season then he needs to buck his ideas up.
Mr Aldridge added: “When Moses arrived I thought he would be a decent acquisition as he did very well for
Wigan and did okay during his first year at Chelsea. He talked about wanting to nail down a place at
Anfield but to achieve that you need to deliver on the pitch and he hasn’t done that.
“Hindsight is a great thing but we would have been better off keeping Oussama Assaidi and not signing
Moses. Assaidi has contributed a lot more for Stoke during his loan spell than Moses has for us"
Adding that Moses has let himself down since joining Liverpool, Mr Aldridge said it might be an idea to see
if Chelsea will take the player back. He added he feels so strongly about the Moses issue that he thinks
Liverpool should investigate the possibility of trying to cancel the loan deal.
“I don’t know whether Chelsea would agree to take him back as they’ve got a big squad but it might be in
everyone’s best interests if the loan is cancelled. He has let himself down,” Mr Aldridge added.
Moses is a vital member of Nigeria's Super Eagles squad and is certain to feature in the World Cup later
this summer. However, he needs to get regular action be in good shape for the tournament.

Not his fault, Moses knows he is a star, and needs to be treated as 1, he was angry because they shud ve allowed him to play till he succeed in scoring that goal he was desiring. Its dissapointin to him wen he was removed. He needs playing time for the world cup in June.

[quote author=akeemstunna]Not his fault, Moses knows he is a star, and needs to be treated as 1,

The truth is , Moses action was't a deliberate one , he needs some psychological help to put his mind focused ... Every player wish to do well no matter where they find themselves ...even if he is a star he's not bigger than the club ... If he want to go to the World Cup he should up his game and play like a star . Club performance matters a lot .
