inter, roma, juve, fiorentina all drawing, AC Milan losing at home. the top five from last season all dropping points, NOW THATS PRICELESS!!!!!

i only got to see the milan game. they were unfortunate to lose, they played some good stuff. Ronaldinho showing why he was once the best player in the world, the dudes still got it! flamster looked lost on the right, shevchenko still sh*t grin
i also noticed dinho wearing the #80 jersey, sheva 76, flamini 84 n i was like wtf? then i realised the numbers represented the years they were born!

Stop acting STUPID.

Last season, Barca's CL run looking like your typical Liverpool CL run - something to do when all hope of other honours has gone.
Real Madrid went out to Roma who weren't even the strongest Italian team.

La Liga obviously have quality spread over more teams thus the gulf between the top teams and the the bottom teams is marginal unlike the PREM.
However, the quality the top 4 teams in the Premiership bring to the table is the best on the planet.

The Spaniards have to prove they haven't slipped to 3rd in the league of leagues.
Heck, a good run from a couple of German teams and the Spaniards might even be fourth!!
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by dayokanu(m): 6:29pm On Sep 03, 2008
Serie A Opening day: Milan Lost, Juve drew Inter drew and Roma drew. None of the Big four could pick maximum points. The top 4 positions are occupied by strange names not the usual suspects.

La Liga. Opening day Real lost, Barca lost the BIG 2 lost. The usual toppers are in mid table

Germany : Bayern and Bremen are in mid table positions

In England, The top 4 are almost the same like the end of last season save Man Utd who have a game in hand.

What does that tell you about the predictability of the various leagues?

Dumb question??
Ya question should be: How rich are the other clubs in Europe compared to the BIG FOUR in the Premiership??
Put the Premiership's BIG 4 in the other leagues in Europe and they would all PICK maximum points on the opening day of the season.
I agree there's a huge gulf between the top teams n the bottom teams but that does not mean the Premiership is dud.
It's the best league in the world whether u like it or not.
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by dayokanu(m): 8:16pm On Sep 03, 2008
They have the best top teams but not the best league overall.

If a mid table team in the EPL should play a mid table team in other league what would the result be?

Are you telling me Middlesborough or Everton better than Sevilla, Osasuna, Lazio,Udinese and hamburg, Leverkusen.

The UEFA cup is the competition that measures this.

U just shot urself. . . . .

How did Bolton stun Bayern Munich last season.
I hope u remember Bolton were fighting relegation when they outplayed Bayern in Munich.
Tottenham is 19th on the table and i am cock sure they would spank Leverkusen or Udinese.

If you are cock sure about Tottenham and Bolton, How come they did not win the UEFA cup or even play in the Semi finals.

Fiorentina a mid table team from Italy was in the semis. Leverkusen was in the Quarters, Hamburg was eliminated by Leverkusen,

Where was bolton and Tottenham? Sevilla won Back to back, Espanyol played the finals 2 years back,

The last time Boro played Sevilla in the finals you knew how blood flowed.

How come Bayern Munich(German champions) did not win it with their wealth of talent and experience?
What about other European giants demoted to play in the UEFA cup from the UCL and failed to win it?
Ya argument is flawed, bozo!!!
Re: French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisi And Bundesliga by lailai2(m): 1:05am On Sep 04, 2008
yeah, good idea for european thread

but i can already see off-topic arguments, cnt u guys take this shizzle to another thread

back to bizness, is football really getting frickin hard that top european teams cant pick up max points when they are not on their best, only french league seems normal now though the competition for lyon is at its strongest, i kinda thought bordeaux would be d main challengers with their beautiful attacking game but it turned out to be marsielle who seem to b a good team but i kinda stil suspect their defence, we'll hav to c

i rily hope my club, barca pick it up and come to their senses by totally capsizing the current left-sided players, botherless henry and normadic-positioning abidal though we are kinda stuck with dem for now

serie a will probably b d most interestin dis season at dis rate, bundesliga also looks to be very competitive, let d matches arrive
