I have noticed Fruity Loops is the weapon of choice for most African producers and Hip Hop guys. I am not just a musician, I own my own recording studio in the US, and down here Fruity Loops is a non starter for serious work. Pro Tools is used on almost all major recordings. Creating beats with Pro tools is extremely easy with beat manipulation tools like Beat Detective. I have never actually worked in an African studio. I am curious to know what equipment (hardware) and software does everyone here on Nairaland and in Nigeria use. Also if you run a studio what is in your studio? Logic 8, Cakewalk? Anyone using stuff like that? |
