The Ideal Family Life by damoobaba: 11:58am On Sep 24, 2008
The role of the family in the development of a nation can not be over-emphasized simply because it is the smallest individual unit that makes up a society. To buttress its importance, the Yorubas puts it this way"Boode o dun, bi igbe nilu ri" (i.e incondusive homes give rise to a hostile community). The manifestations we see in the larger society today is simply a reflection of what is going on in family units.
When talking about a family, proper attention must be given to each individual that makes up the family as this is usually the factor that differentiates just a family house from a home. Be that as it may, everybody that makes up afamily has a role to play in the growth and success of a family or even its collapse. The father as the head of the home has the role of providing for everybody while the mother has to make sure what is provide by the is given equally to every member  of the family according to his/her needs without prejudice. Parents's roles have been clearly defined by God ( Prov 31:10-28, Ephe 5:21-33,Ephe 6:1-4, 1 Timothy 5:cool. These roles are divinely designed and therefore immutable. Any effort to re-arrange them will ultimately lead to disorderliness and chaos.
Again, love must radiate around the home and must be shared equally amongst every member. The father as the head of the home must love his wife like himself and must also love his children equally. this is not afavour but an obligation. The children in return must respect their parents and make them proud. To whom much is given, much much is expected:in other words,to whom much is expected, much should be given. The family must learn how to trust one another and be warry of external interference, all misunderstandings should bve settled with love. Member should help and assist one another at points of needs.
Lastly and very important, parents should have a good relationship with their children so as to know their likes and dislikes, they should create special moments with their children for discussion and recreation,it shows that the family is communicating. Communication connotes friendship, care and love. Any family that is not communicating is a dying family and on the verge of collapse.
In general,we can not start talking of a united  world without first talking about united homes.

, Thi is my opinion,
