hello guys... I want your review on this two gadgets. I want to choose between them for my laptop need. I have read many reviews online but I want a first hand experience from any nairalander. thank you. |

for me this is a no brainer. I'd take the surface pro 3 without thinking twice. I've used the surface pro 2 once. and from what ive watched so far. the surface series just got a lot better. |

Depends on your needs. Surface pro works with most applications cos it's Windows. But MacBook Air is good if you want raw power for some special computing needs. Many artists, graphics designers, song producers etc etc would go for MacBook cos it's excellent for productivity plus it has a very long battery life. |

basically I do Oracle. PowerPoint presentation. virtualization read a lot with Adobe and do lots if video convertion. |

For your needs i'd say a windows machine, surface pro being one but am still skeptical about its use as a dedicated productivity device ( the tablet form factors will help with reading ebooks) |

Don't buy the surface pro as opposed to ultrabooks books please, if you want a laptop get one surface pro is nice to call as a tablet with extras but it can't replace my Ultrabook and it's way to expensive for the core I7 and 128GB hard drive, about $2,000 and at that price you can get a core I7 Ultrabook with 1TB HDD and a an SSD drive + Nvidia GeForce 760M, bottom line: don't waste your cash buying surface pro 2 and don't even think twice about buying Macbook air, its horrible, its for average users, or below average, get a decent Ultrabook |

Macbook air gives you better battery life, OSX and a better keyboard/trackpad. Surface pro 3 is thinner, lighter and has a much higher resolution touchscreen with pen support.
