semitunde: Should have started with his strongest players van gaal. It was vlah's first penalty and at this stage that was a too much of a risk. lt affected others who were not also mentally Strong.

I thought as much! Krul was a better shot-stopper with his height, arms lenght and physical presence. He should have been the one at that post. Even his presence and antecedent would have created panic in any argentine penalty taker.

All the same, congrats to the Argies; I never gave them a chance on this world cup; but they've proved me wrong.

Did you see my traditional teams before the world cup started? Heck, I also posted it during the qualifiers! Brazil, Dutch, Germany, Nigeria, and England - and I added Chile to the list.

I love Germany and I'm a big fan of German football. But that game was a fluke...even Germans are still in shock.

Anyway, in as much as I want Germany to win it all for Europe and break the continental jinx, football is deeper than that. My heart is with Germany, but if the odds are nice, my money will be on Argentina. They'll be playing for a continent.

BTW, most Brits are supporting Germany, just like all Europeans.

Brazilians won't support Argentina thou. the Argies are on their own on Sunday
