Answer to it
when you give them 1k each kept the other 1k, you
will still be owing them 49k each. So, all you have to
do is to get the 97 you used in buying the laptop,
add the reseverved 1k to it, you will have 98k.
Then, you divide the 98k into two, you will have 49k
for each of them.

If yu borrowed 50k each from ur parents and returned 1k each to them, that means yu borrowed just 49k+49k=98k.. Yu borrowed 98k in total and bought laptop of 97k... 98k-97k= 1k (which yu are left with). Don't confuse urself

Technically you borrowed N98,000 bought the laptop with N97,000 and used N1000 for yourself.

You just want to confuse people with numbers. You were mixing both credit and debit in your questions. The 1k for you is your amount and should not be added to the 98k you owe your parents. When you get money to pay your debts, 98k goes to your parents. The rest is yours. So, no money is missing.
