Reports reaching Goal.com is that the underfire Luis Suarez of Liverpool can very well be on his way to Barcelona within some days or even hours after an agreement was met between the two clubs for a whooping €88million (£63million) move to join the Catalan club in a straight cash deal.

This agreement was met late wednesday night after weeks of negotiation between the Catalan Club and the Merseyside Club.

Suarez to undergo medical in his native town in Uruguay which he resorted to after their imminent elimination from the World Cup.

Barcelona will make this transfer possible by triggering his release clause made last December then partly funding it with the transfer of striker Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona to London giants, Arsenal for a sum of €40million (£31.8million).

Even as he is still yet to complete the move, his No.9 shirt is now in stocks for sale in Spain.

Suarez, who will be serving a 4-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini in his nation's World Cup match against Italy, will only be available to play on/after October 26 when his ban runs out.
