Key duties/responsibilities of Bank teller

1. Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
2. May train new employees and answer co-worker questions.
3. Will be involved in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash.
4. May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
5. Opens new accounts and admits customers to safe deposit boxes.
6. Open and Close Vault
7. Promotes the bank’s products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.
8. Makes concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
9. Follows teller over/short policy.
10. Accepting retail and/or commercial deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customers their receipts.
11. Identifying customers and cashing checks, or referring customers to an officer for authorization to cash checks.
12. Accepting savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying signatures.
13. Providing additional customer services including Cashie
