The Youth Federation for World Peace (YFWP), a global network of individuals
and organizations dedicated to building a world of peace and prosperity, will
today, decorate music producer, Wole Oni, as one of its ambassadors, at a
ceremony which holds at The Golden Tullip, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
Commenting on the development, an excited Oni said that he was overwhelmed
that the platform has chosen him as one of its ambassadors.
“It has always been my dream to mentor the younger generation and this
honour has further assured me that I am on the right track. I want to thank
the organisers for this opportunity to serve mankind.”
Oni, who was nominated by the Ambassadors in Action Initiative, has
contributed to the gospel music and entertainment industry producing music
for the likes of Sammie Okpose, Midnight Crew and Lara George to mention a
few.
As Peace Ambassador, Wole will be attending meetings at the United Nations,
lobbying world leaders and using his influence and fame to promote a culture
of peace. Other celebrities to be inducted on the night include Davido and
Skales.
YFWP implements its programs through a global network of Ambassadors for
Peace and encourages all religions to dialogue and cooperate for peace based
upon the recognition that human dignity derives from a universal divine source
which is the basis of harmony and unification.
YFWP offers relief and humanitarian programs, experiential service-learning
projects, character education and sports programs with a special focus on
personal leadership and peacemaking skills.
