Does God Dwell In One Place? by Nobody: 11:15pm On Jul 21, 2014 |
Various religions describe God as omnipresent, a term suggesting that God dwells in all places simultaneously. For example, the New Catholic Encyclopedia refers to God as the one “who is actually present in all existing places and things.” Likewise, John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church, wrote a sermon entitled “On the Omnipresence of God” in which he stated that “there is no point of space, whether within or without the bounds of creation, where God is not.” What does the Bible teach? Is God omnipresent, existing in all places in heaven, on earth, and even in humankind at the same time? Actually, the Bible speaks of God as having a specific place of dwelling—the heavens. It records a prayer of King Solomon in which he called upon God: “May you yourself listen from the heavens, your established place of dwelling.” (1 Kings 8:43) When teaching his disciples how to pray, Jesus Christ told them to address their prayers to “Our Father in the heavens.” (Matthew 6:9) After his resurrection, Christ entered “into heaven itself, now to appear before the person of God,” states the Bible.—Hebrews 9:24. These verses clearly indicate that Jehovah God dwells, not everywhere, but only in heaven. Of course, “the heavens” mentioned in these passages does not refer to the atmosphere surrounding the earth nor to the vast expanse of outer space. The physical heavens cannot contain the Creator of the universe. (1 Kings 8:27) The Bible tells us that “God is a Spirit.” (John 4:24) He resides in the spiritual heavens, a realm independent of the physical universe.—1 Corinthians 15:44. What, though, of Bible passages that seem to suggest that God is present everywhere? For example, as recorded at Psalm 139:7-10, David said regarding God: “Where can I go from your spirit, and where can I run away from your face? If I should ascend to heaven, there you would be; and if I should spread out my couch in Sheol, look! you would be there. Were I to take the wings of the dawn, that I might reside in the most remote sea, there, also, your own hand would lead me.” Do these verses indicate that God is, in fact, omnipresent, dwelling in each of the places mentioned? Note that David first asked: “Where can I go from your spirit?” * By means of his holy spirit, God can see anything and exert his power anywhere, without literally going there or dwelling there. To illustrate: In recent years scientists have been able to examine soil on the planet Mars, millions of miles (kilometers) from Earth. How? Not by traveling there personally, but by studying detailed photos and other information transmitted back to Earth by probes sent to Mars’ surface. Likewise, Jehovah God does not have to be present everywhere, or omnipresent, in order to perceive what is happening at any point in the universe. God’s Word says: “There is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight.” (Hebrews 4:13) Yes, Jehovah’s powerful active force, or holy spirit, can extend anywhere, allowing him to be all-seeing and to accomplish his purpose from a fixed location, his “holy dwelling” in the heavens.—Deuteronomy 26:15. http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20110801/where-does-god-dwell/ |

SHALOM! JMAN05: WELL, THAT CERTAINLY ESTABLISHES THE BOUNDARIES OF THEIR IGNORANCE-! THAT belief is the basis of ANIMISM: the Belief that GOD is in EVERYTHING- so ANYTHING can be Worshipped. What does the Bible teach? Is God omnipresent, existing in all places in heaven, on earth, and even in humankind at the same time? THAT GOD IS NOT PRESENT EVERYWHERE, IS NOT INFINITELY-POWERFUL, AND IS NOT ALL-KNOWING, WAS CLEARLY ESTABLISHED IN THE FIRST FOUR CHAPTERS OF GENESIS. IS GOD WILLING TO PREVENT EVIL, 1. The Creation took a finite timespan. 2. God was unaware of The Fall of Adam and Eve. 3. God was unable to locate Adam and Eve. 4. God was unable to undo The Fall. 5. God was unaware of the impending murder of Abel. 6. God had to come to Earth in person to verify what was going on in Sodom and Gomorrah. DAVID WAS MERELY EXPRESSING HIS OPINION, BECAUSE HE HAD NEVER BEEN TO THOSE PLACES TO SEE GOD THERE. The Old Testament Prophets were incompetent, and shortchanged the people whom they served, whom they should have been teaching to BE THEIR OWN PROPHETS. Only YAHSHUA specifically remedied that shortcoming of the Old Testament . JOHN 10:1-2,7-8. "VERILY, verily, I say unto you, 'HE THAT ENTERETH NOT BY THE DOOR INTO THE SHEEPFOLD BUT CLIMBETH UP SOME OTHER WAY, THE SAME IS A THIEF AND A ROBBER.' 2. "But he that entereth in by the Door. is the shepherd of the sheep." 7. Then said Jesus unto them again, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP. 8. "All that ever came before me are Thieves and Robbers: but the sheep did not hear them." This Teaching of Yahshua is glossed-over by all False Churches, so that the Old Testament can be used as a STUMBLINGBLOCK where necessary, to prevent their victims from perceiving some Truth. THERE IS A SPECIFIC PROCEDURE TO BECOMING A PROPHET: YAHSHUA IS THAT PROCEDURE. But the Ancients merely accumulated the Spiritual Energy to attain HOLINESS without learning the LESSONS OF HUMILITY AND DISCIPLINE that Yahshua LED with. Therefore, they had ANOMALOUS SHORTCOMINGS, and did not know things they should have. There is no Evidence that the Oyinbos have been "millions of miles or kilometres into Space. NASA'S SPACE PROGRAMMES have been exposed as frauds.
If God were to perceive all of Creation, He would be a PARTY to EVERY SIN on the Earth. God ONLY views those places where HIS COMMANDMENTS are being ENFORCED, If they are not, HE must perform the Enforcement HIMSELF: which is JUDGMENT. . 2nd CHRONICLES 16:9. 9. "For The Eyes of The LORD run to and fro throughout the whole Earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” . AMOS 3:3. 3. "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” THIS EXPLAINS WHAT GOD TOLD ABRAHAM AT HIS JUDGMENT ON SODOM AND GOMORRAH. . GENESIS 18:17-33. 17. And The LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18. "Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the Earth shall be Blessed in him? 19. "For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep The Way of The LORD, to do Justice and Judgment; that The LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him. 20. And The LORD said, "Because the Cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their Sin is very grievous; 21. "I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the Cry of it, which is come unto Me; and if not, I will know. 22. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before The LORD. 23. And Abraham drew near, and said, "Wilt thou also destroy the Righteous with the Wicked? 24. "Peradventure there be fifty Righteous within the city: wilt Thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty Righteous that are therein? 25. "That be far from Thee to do after this manner, to slay the Righteous with the Wicked: and that the Righteous should be as the Wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the Earth do right?" 26. And The LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty Righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. 27. And Abraham answered and said, "Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto The Lord, which am but dust and ashes: 28. "Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty Righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five?" And He said, "If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it." 29. And he spake unto Him yet again, and said, "Peradventure there shall be forty found there." And He said, "I will not do it for forty's sake." 30.And he said unto him, "Oh let not The Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there." And He said, "I will not do it, if I find thirty there." 31. And he said, "Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto The Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there." And He said, "I will not destroy it for twenty's sake." 32. And he said, "Oh let not The Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there." And He said, "I will not destroy it for ten's sake." 33.And The LORD went His Way, as soon as He had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place. GOD WAS NOT PRESENT AT SODOM AND GOMORRAH, NOR COULD HE SEE INTO THEM, WITH HIS "SUPERMAN TELESCOPIC VISION," BUT HE HAD TO GO AND SEE FOR HIMSELF. . ISAIAH 55:6-11. 6. Seek ye The LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while he is near: 7. Let the Wicked forsake his Way, and the Unrighteous man his Thoughts: and let him return unto The LORD, and He will have Mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. 8. "For My Thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My Ways," saith The LORD. 9. "For as the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways, and My Thoughts than your thoughts. 10. "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from Heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the Earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11. "So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My Mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but It shall accomplish that which I please, and It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent It." GOD'S THOUGHTS AND WAYS are above those of Earthly SINNERS- who are DEVOID of WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING. . JOB 28:28. 28. "And unto Man He Said, 'BEHOLD, THE FEAR OF THE LORD, THAT IS WISDOM; AND TO DEPART FROM EVIL, IS UNDERSTANDING.' " . JOB 39:13-18. 13. "Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? 14. "Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, 15. "And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. 16. "She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear; 17. "Because God hath deprived her of Wisdom, neither hath He imparted to her Understanding. 18." What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider." HEAVEN IS SEVEN STACKED UNIVERSES OF SUCCESSIVE SPIRITUAL ENERGY PARMETERS. To EXIST, ENTER, and OPERATE in those Realms, one must have THOSE same SPIRITUAL ENERGY LEVELS. The PRIMARY MANIFESTATION of Spiritual Energy is LIFE. The SECONDARY Manifestation of Spiritual Energy is WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING. |
