What a week!!

I my guy,

You are doing well I must confess. Keep it up.

Those (lalaboi) that called us "newbies" are feeling the heat already. Gbongan FC is getting to the top (6th on the table already).

samdean: is it the fa cup that is the h2h?

the HEAD2HEAD (h2h) are the leagues where teams play against each other to determine their standing on the H2H table. The FA cup, Carling cup and the Conference are all H2H leagues.

understood ??

Whats the name of your team ?

Captain fail ruins the day for many managers

It was a week of whining and groaning with major disappointments.
As the news of Costa's supposed injury filtered into the airwaves, many managers hit the panic button and stripped him of his armband. Some dumped him on the bench while some went further to sell him outrightly. The decision backfired and they watched helplessly as the unstopable striker hit a brace and got maximum bonus points. Over 70% of managers handed the armband to Rooney and Ramsey and got 4 points from their fate in the duo. However, the likes of dreamteamfc and Eziga United kept fate in the striker and he rewarded them with 24 points! Managers like Anthony of Galacticos took the alternative option in Sanchez and got rewarded for their blind trust in an underperforming player most managers are dumping already.

Major shake-up on the league table

Some managers saw green, while some saw red as the league table was totally shaken down to its foundation. Its now a case of 'snooze' and 'lose'. A coup d'etat was perfectly executed at the top of the table as the previous league leader, FC Messre was overthrown and sent down to 12th position. The runners up, who would have naturally benefited from the coup couldn't take advantage of the shake-up; the ultimate beneficiary being Oluwa, who has guided his team, Intelligesia to the #1 spot. Lalaboi guided Shinigami X FC to the 3rd position while the 'Swag Lord' leaped to 4th position with Swag FC.

Some managers who had been suffering the anonymity of 2nd page has successfully moved to first page, they include: Is she gone pop, Feazy11, Dyabscanmadeit, Mavericks United, gbombersFC and others.
Previous first page teams like Nnukwu mmanwu, Big Test Icles, Casey safe and Ice worriors have been relegated to the 2nd page while *AZ is just hanging on for his life at the bottom of the first page at the 50th position.

Galacticos is the Team of the week with 82 points!

Amidst the captain fails, Galacticos copped 82 points to win the Team of the week (not to be mistaken by Galacticos of Lawal at 47th). The vibrant manager guided his team from the 44th position straight up to 10th position. With five (5) members of his team scoring, addition 2 clean sheets at the back and 3 invaluable assists from another 2 midfielders, it was a glorious day for the team and their manager!

Coming soon... Pick of the week...and lots more...

NairaLand FPL Tabloid <pg2>

Pick of the week
You can make over 50 points and still lose to your opponent on the head2head, the cases of Warlord FC (58pts) vs Feasy11 (63pts), Brutalion FC (51pts) vs Shinigami x (58pts) but when you see teams with far lesser points getting a win in the same gameweek, you can't help it but feel miserable.

Mean Machines (23pts) vs Mumu Stars (18pts)

No Mediocres (25pts), Arsenal4Ever (25pts)

This guy sums it up:

nitlad:

shocked shocked shocked

And one of them still managed a win? shocked

I guess t'oribu ba pe meji, ikan o se'kan.

But then again, one dey answer "Mediocre" the other "Assänal" which is pretty much a synonym/metonym for mediocre. Birds of the same plumage.

Obo n gb'obo g'ope tinz. grin cheesy grin

H2H League Leaders

Nationwide:- SwagFC W(3), D(0), L(0), Points (9), +184

Carling cup:- Goldenboiz W(3), D(0), L(0), Points (9), +172

FA Cup:- Intelligesia W(3), D(0), L(0), Points (9), +192

Flops of the week

A glance at the nationwide teams will leave you to marvel. Seems most of the teams there are on auto-pilot: 0 transfers with players that are either dead, injured or not playing at epl again. So we're picking 3 teams from there.

ChelseaFC (10pts)
williaaan (18pts)
Mumu stars (18pts)

They say first impression matters, and this team name creates all the impression you will ever need: Mumu Stars. They matched the name with the like performance of a 'Mumu' team,

When asked to assemble a team of 15 players, Williaam FC picked 8 players that are either non-starters, non-epl players or consistent bench warmers! He's made 0 transfers and still has Nani, cech on his team.

These are the guys that collect codes and go awol, leaving their team on auto-pilot!

#Meanwhile: Viewing this topic: ItGeek(m), williaam(m) and 1 guest(s)
@bolded; go and overhaul your team; stop peeping thru this tabloid, use your wildcard already and remove those dead players on your team; else you won't get a code next year cheesy...#

Next week on Fantasy Tabloid...

The international break has given the much needed time for a refill of energy. What are your plans? The table is so sensitive that any 3 points can help you jump 10 positions: so who are the liabilities you will be looking forward to offload, and the prospects you'll be acquiring? With new arrivals gracing the epl and others switching to new clubs, is this the best time to play that wildcard?

See you all next week...see you at the top!

Thanks for the complement. Btw, does not utilizing the weekly free transfer add up to give you 2 free transfers? Haven't yet gotten 2 free transfers in a week.
