They collected the phones of every worker at the Bank immediately after the incident. It was a case of lax security cos the robbers came in 3 bikes, left thru the back road i.e from the field(robbers den) thru Okoko and escaped via Igboelerin to connect to the road linking Iyana Iba to Iyana Ipaja.

Through all these times where were our cops? In an era of telephones, social media and sophisticated policing, how were they successful?

The usual corrupt policemen ran away. One even injured a man while fleeing. They were both running and collided. The robbers got to Okoko bustop and started spraying bullets. Our policemen ran and quickly closed the gate leading to the station. Everyone ran!

If you witnessed the drama then you'd know its an inside job cos the robbers waited for the van to drive in. It will be very very very difficult for robbers to enter a bank in Alaba that has so much customers(some banks in Alaba na real oshodi market-won't name them but you'd regret going there). The babe(robber) that was shooting told a lady selling close to that area to leave that place before they started raiding. Unluckily, the woman hesitated and got caught by a bullet. Some died; many were injured but pls lets do something. Don't wish it upon anyone but who know whom it might happen to next. Sorry for this epistle. I'm just unhappy

Sijo01: Bankers, majority of them are thieves.
U are right my dear! A lady banker was arrested sometime ago,she used her brother to steal pensioners money from d bank. She continued the act till one day,d owner of d account came to the bank n unfortunately for her,she invited her bro d same day. When d man that owns the account requested to withdraw money, the guy that wanted to pay him noticed that someone has been withdrawing huge amount of money from d account recently with a different signature. He kept quiet n alerted their manager. After some minutes the 'Lady thief' withdrew some money as usual, pay her bro n was caught immediately. When she was tortured, she now confessed of stealing #16million (from d account and other pensioners acct)shockedshockedshocked. They took her home n recovered 10million frm her, said that she has used part of d money to pay for her international passport(She wanna fly comot 4 naija, onye oshiundecided),paid her bills, settled her bro n other expensesshockedshockedshockedshocked. I hope so. If not these bank workers act the insiders for bank robbers. Robber don't just rob banks without concrete informations.

It was learnt that the suspects were arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, led by SP Abba Kyari.

Bank work is the riskiest job in Nigeria, only a mile separates your home from the prison. This year alone at least three of my colleagues have either been sacked or detained for various infringements. Most bank frauds have internal connivance, guys are getting impatient these days, they wan hammer, so they can leave the stressful but thankless atmosphere of banking in Nigeria.

Arrest bank workers and security officials and let the robbers go free?
What kind of country are we living in?
If the govt can't protect the citizens, why don't they let us arm ourselves legally?

If u know get Godly heart
You can't work in bank without been tempted to touch

How will you be counting millions from 1st to 30th/31st.and you will end up collecting #50,000 or #60,000 as salary
Just b'cos you are a contract staff

I'm not supporting bad thing but the way contract staff operators(the main agent or company that send you there) are paying their workers
You may end up achieving nothing after working for years.

SARS HQ at Ikeja is not a place one would pray for his enemy to be, that place is terrible. I hope those people that were arrested are really guilty because SARS operatives are good at extra judicial killings.
