Every youth wants the most fashionable apartment, or wants to drive around in the red Ferrari car we only see in music videos, or wants to be seen around very influential and popular members of the society; but some youths do not want these things. They have no interest in wearing the latest Armani suits or wielding trendy phones and gadgets just yet. They are very few, only one can be found in a thousand and one other youths. Let's call them the 'Unusuals Youths'.


Jhene Aiko's hit song 'The Worst' has the oxymoronic hook: "I don't need you, but I want you". These words go a long way in explaining the general positions of youths in society today. While they do not really need the fast cars, cool gadgets and other unnecessary 'luggage', they want them. It is not wrong to wish for luxury; but it becomes wrong when wishes are stretched to unfounded fantasies especially when no genuine effort is made towards achieving them.


Normal youths will want luxury, but only the unusual youths will actually work for it. This implies them going to events which actually inspire, the male youth sitting in his room to plan and construct on those wild Friday night's when his roommates are out clubbing, the female buying vintage clothes and jewellery not for her use but to resell them to fashion-crazy friends. The list is endless. Unusual youths hardly ever date not because they have spiritual spouses but because they see romantic relationships presently as luggage they would not want to be burdened with till they are ready for a life partner.


They are futuristic, therefore they are two steps or three ahead of their mates. They seize every opportunity they find to get knowledge and certificates to expand their resumés. They have planned on setting up firms and companies while their mates are planning on job hunting. They are the few who do not get affected by the pessimistic view the rest of the society have towards life.

So make we all turn to unusual youth;rubbish ! that means all d artistes are usually youth MTSWEEEEE
