What Are The Uses Of The Moon? by jacksonite: 1:25pm On Jul 29, 2014
Unlike the sun which has been proven to be useful in photosynthesis, provision of vitamin D,provision of solar energy, among many other users, the moon which is one of the most ubiquitous features around the earth has a very limited application and that is for illumination at night which does not even happen all the time. The only other use of the moon I can fathom is its significance in Islamic worship.(announcing the starting and ending of fasting) Are there any other uses of the moon apart from the above mentioned?

without the moon the possibility of life on earth is slim. the gravitational pull causes the rise and fall of tide which in effect:
1. create a state weather system. without the moon, the weather will be very much wild, random and unpredictable. life on such earth will not have evolved.
3. many sea creatures and animals calculate the moon and migrates for there mating rituals. take away the moon, you will disorganize the whole system and life on earth will end sooner than you think.
3. do you know the moon as being is like a little bodyguard which in the past has intercepted many bombardments of meteorites which might have left earth like Mars?
4. do you know that moon is gradually receding from us, I can't think of the exact figure right now but in some millions of years from now we probably lost our dear moon. so, before our big brother the sun come to destroy us, may be we probably be gone by then.
