Feeling Bad When The Price Stock Goes Down? by argon500: 1:08pm On Jul 30, 2014
I once heard a friend of mine talking about how great a certain stock was. Upon hearing that advice I bought it too. Few days later when it lost half of its value I felt really bad and I really wished that I have never listened to him.

But do you know why I felt bad at that time?
Simply because of one thing: I lacked the knowledge about the stock and so I felt that i will never get my money again.

The only thing that can make you feel bad if a price of a stock went down is the lack of knowledge. If you didn’t do your homework well then most probably fear will control you whenever the stock price goes down and so you may end up taking emotional decisions and losing more of your money.

If you had the same problem then don’t waste your time and just go now and dig for information about that stock you bought.

You will find that the more information you get about it the more you will feel good and the more your bad feelings will go away. (Assuming that you bought something good). Most of us hate uncertainty but when this uncertainty is about our financial future then it might feel even worse.

Fortunately there is a way out of this. The more knowledge you collect about that thing you are uncertain about the better you will feel and the lesser your fears will be.

Do nothing and your fears will grow, take actions and your uncertainty will disappear.

Ever wondered why most people make much more money using demo accounts than the money they make when they invest in real stocks?

When people use a demo account they don't let their emotions control them simply because they have nothing to lose, after all its a demo who cares!

As a result they take better decisions, make less mistakes and make more money. Investing is not hard but you just need to have a great deal of emotional control in order to make sure that you don't do fatal mistakes.

Many investors make mistakes while they are well informed! the problem in such a case is emotional control.
