Nigeria U-20 team Falconets will be Competing in Group C along side England, South Korea and Mexico.
The Falconets will be playing their first two games in Moncton stadium which has a normal capacity of 10,000 but could be expanded to accomodate 20,000 people if the match attendance exceeds expectation.
The Falconets will be facing Mexico and South Korea respectively in its first two games, Then the final group match against England will be played in the Common Wealth stadium which has 60,081 capacity.
The fixtures gladdened the heart of the coaching staff. The Falconets are very optimistic that the y will qualify from the group and go all out to win the tournament.
Head coach of Nigeria U-20 team Peter Dedevbo said it isn't an impossible task, my team is fit and ready to go, We re very confident that we can produce the kind of result that would marvel the whole world.
"We 'll take it one match at a time. The Falconets believe they can grind out good results against Mexico and South Korea,so the final group match becomes mere formality. John Agrrey, a sport analyst in Nigeria extrapolated.

The fact that she has played in 2 U-20 WCs may have counted against her inclusion. Let's see what Tonto Dike Courtney Dike will offer in the attack.

I don't think a player can compete more than twice in the same competition.

Nah, a player can compete in as many tournaments as long as he/she is within the age-group. And Oparanozie turns 21 in December, making her ineligible

The Falconets beat a Canadian U-16 boys team 4-3 yesterday. The boys led 3-0 in the first half, before Oshoala, Ayinde and Courtney Dike all scored from the penalty spot.
Dike went on to score the winner too

Oshoala will likely be the captain because of her international experience.
But Courtney Dike is a really good forward: she scored 94 goals in her 4 year high school career, and 4 goals in her first 5 games for her Oklahoma State University team.

Falconets trash Codiac U18 boys 4-2 in friendly

Peter Dedevbo's ladies announced their readiness for the 2014 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup by beating a male age-grade team in their second warm-up in Moncton
Nigeria Women U-20 team defeated Codiac AAA U-18 boys 4-2 in a warm up game played in Moncton on Saturday.

The game played to fine tune the Falconets' strategy for the 2014 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup saw the duo of Oshoala Asisat and Dike Courtney get a brace in the six-goal thriller.

The Nigeria ladies though started early by conceding a 2nd minute goal but cut short their hosts celebration after they grabbed the equaliser a minute later. Both teams failed to race to the lead as they settled for a 1-1 draw at half time.

With three minutes into the second half, Asisat Oshoala powered home Courtney Dike's soft cross with a fine header to put the Falconets in front for the first time in the game for 2-1. Few minutes later, the Moncton U-18 lads fought back almost immediately by grabbing the equalizer from a well placed-free kick.

However, US-based striker Courtney Dike who came in as a substitute justified her World Cup inclusion by grabbing the third and fourth goal of the game for the Nigerian girls.

Speaking after the game, Falconets head coach Peter Dedevbo admitted an improved overall performance in comparison with their earlier encounter with the team's U-16 Boys.

"The girls put on a fearless approach in this match. This shows that they have their eyes on the World Cup, which is why their performance has improved," he said.

"They are putting lessons being learned at the trainings to use."

Courtney Dike could well be the star for Nigeria. 4 goals in 2 matches (against boys) is incredible!
