Eminem and Rihanna gave a preview of their upcoming “The Monster” stadium tour last night, August 1, on Day 1 of 2014 Lollapalooza. This preview wasn't expected to happen but happen it did. Eminem was a headliner on Friday’s kick off day of 2014 Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago's Grant Park, and halfway his 30-song set the Detroit rapper brought pal Rihanna on stage to perform a few duets.

Em and Ri rocked "Love The Way You Lie" and "The Monster" together but the true surprise came when Rihanna replaced Dido when "Stan" started playing! I guess this new Rihanna for ‘Stan’ moment will be repeated during the entirety of the “The Monster” stadium tour.

“The Monster” stadium tour kicks off in Pasadena, California on August 7. Eminem and Rihanna will have Rose Bowl as their home on August 7 and 8, before travelling to East Rutherford, NJ to play shows at MetLife Stadium on August 16 and 17, and finally wrap up their joint tour at Detroit's Comerica Park on August 22 and 23.

“Lollapalooza” performance reviewDefinitely loved Rihanna in the "Love The Way You Lie" and "Monster" performance, but in “Stan”, she tried but she didn’t slay me. “Stan” definitely suits Dido’s haunting vocals much better. Let’s see if Rihanna re-watchis this “Lollapalooza” and brings vocal improvement for “Stan” when she does it at the “Monster” tour kick off.
