There were seven men all wearing
a hood standing in front of her
and they were all naked. They
were covered in some sort of
tattoo or drawing that signified
they were an occult and each of
them held a small dagger with an
X sign drawn with red paint on
their right hand while their left
hands carried what resembled
human skulls. Vanessa screamed
again and she felt a sharp slap
sting her cheek as the hand lifting
her head up smacked a slap across
her cheek. She whimpered in pain
as a gag was stuffed in her mouth.
Vanessa cringed in fear as the
seven men took one step forward
in union and she pleaded with her
eyes for them to let her go.

The tears were streaming from her
eyes as she moved her head from
right to left trying to see if there
was anything she could latch onto
for hope. She didn’t understand
what was going on, who were
these men? What business had
they with her? What had she done
to them? Why her? Where was
Eric? What had he done to her?
Had he also been captured? The
questions chased one another in
her mind as she saw the men take
another step forward again. Then
with a sweeping movement they
crowded her and one after the
other slashed her skin, dripping
her blood into the skulls they
held. Vanessa tried to scream in
pain but the gag held her screams
back and her eyes bulged in her
eyes as she thrashed wildly. Her
body was cut in several places
with the gashes spilling her life
source into the skulls. After they
had collected their fill, they threw
back their heads and drank the
contents of the skulls.

She was getting weak and finding
it hard to keep her eyes opened.
She knew that the life was ebbing
out of her from the loss of blood
and she with a sad realization that
she was dying, the eighteen year
old wished she hadn’t gone out
that night. The last thing she felt
was that final pain as a dagger
crushed her windpipe and severed
her head from her body. As the
head rolled away from her body
lifeless, her eyes stared lifelessly
at the image of the crucifixion of
Jesus Christ hanged upside down.
Eric was bleeding profusely as he
limped into the college, his
superman cape was torn and his
red suit had been made darker
with his blood. The security men
at the gate rushed at him and held
him steady as they asked
frantically what the matter was.
He spurted blood as he choked out
the story. He had gone to a
costume party with a girl named
Vanessa from the party and in
order to make the task of making
out with her easier, he had slipped
something into her drink. She had
gone unconscious and he was
taking her to his car when he had
been attacked by unknown men in
hoods. They had stabbed him
many times and he had barely
managed to escape, he didn’t
know what had become of the
unconscious Vanessa as he had
had time to save only himself. The
ambulance came just then and he
was whisked off to the school
clinic as the security men swung
into action. A back up team was
radioed for as they stormed the
place where Eric had described to
them, there was a house not far
off from the spot and they could
see traces of blood leading up the
front steps. With their guns on the
ready they raided the house but
all they found was a the headless
corpse of Vanessa with an X sign
carved into her body. Eric died
the next day in the hospital and
the case remains unsolved till
date. Word went around college
about the attack on Vanessa and
Eric and the students named it
“The Night The Demons Came
Out.”
