1. Job Title: Accountant

Reports to: The Managing Director

Job Objective The Accountant provides the overall leadership of the Accounts Department to ensure that it contributes effectively to achieve the organizational goals and objectives by ensuring prudential accounting/financial management systems and processes are applied and to facilitate sound business decisions by providing timely, relevant and accurate financial advice and information to Executive Management and the Board.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
• Negotiate treasury rates
• Manage foreign exchange transactions
• Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
• Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
• Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies
• Cash management and treasury duties
• Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
• Overseeing the payroll process
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Production of statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualification and Minimum Experience:

• A minimum of Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-10 years accounting/finance experience
• Fully qualified ACCA or other relevant professional qualifications

2. Job Title: Analyst

Job Responsibilities

• Develop thorough and broad-based knowledge of end-to-end business processes sufficient to document, design, test and support business process changes.
• Act as liaison between the lines of business and the development team
• Analyze business requirements to understand the business needs of the company and determine how their applications can best functionally fulfill those needs.
• Developing use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to management team
• Contributing in a business or process perspective during business process reviews
• Other task as assigned

Qualification and Minimum Experience:

• A minimum of Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience or an MBA
