Why Did Early Muslim Always Settle In North. by manosteel(m): 1:16pm On Aug 08, 2014
I was going through my Urban and Regional geography and I discovered a common trend. I realized that most Countries in Africa where we have Islam and Christianity, Muslims settle in the North while Christians in the South. Such Countries are Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun, Senegal, Sudan, Somalia etc. My question is, is this by coincidence?

Yes, I guess we can notice Islam spread in a north to south direction in Africa since Islam was at first spread through Arab conquerors and traders in North Africa. Starting from North Africa, Islam then spread to neighboring African countries in the South of North African countries: Mali, Niger, Chad, etc often through African intermediaries also known as lackeys winksmiley Islam also spread in Spain at a certain point.
