A major boost has been given to the E-Commerce sector in Nigeria, now that FirstBank of Nigeria Limited has gone into partnership with PayPal, an international e-commerce payment and money transfer platform. Paypal has been encouraging online transactions from time, and has also been an avenue for easy and fast ways of making online purchases between over 200 markets worldwide and also not forgetting it online shopping creating presence.

This new partnership agreement would create seamless E-commerce payment platform not only just for First Bank customers but for Nigeria as a whole. Nonetheless,the creation of PayPal accounts with FirstBank would collapse the barricade existing between Nigeria and the rest of the world due to the easy and convenient means created by First Bank through their First Online Platform. There would also be the accessibility to all of PayPal’s service offerings, FirstBank MasterCard or Visa cards (which are enabled for online international transactions) and easy links to every customers PayPal account.

As PayPal’s official partner, FirstBank customer’s PayPal accounts are immediately verified. PayPal accounts with unverified credit card details will be subjected to transaction limit pending verification.

STEPS ON OPENING THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT ON FIRSTBANK PORTAL
Open your PayPal account through the FirstBank portal, If you are a FirstBank customer registered on FirstOnline, here is how to create your paypal account through FirstOnline:
• Step 1- Login to First Onlineportal.
• Step 2 – Choose “PayPal wallet” in the main tab and click “Create PayPal Wallet” on the sub menu.
• Step 3 – Select which cards you wish to link to your PayPal account and which card will be the default card.
• Step 4 – Review the details entered.
• Step 5 – Enter the code generated by pressing the button on your online banking token and confirm the information therein.
• Step 6 – A popup window will appear. Use this to create your PayPal password.
• Step 7 – Click on “agree and create account”.


After then you are good to go, You will receive a confirmation message on the website as well as an email confirming the account creation then you can start enjoying your paypal services through FirstBank.
