Haba! $500 to ship a car from which country to which country? Even with your calculation, the cost of the car is $3800 which translates to over 600k in Nigeria. The OP still says the car is negotiable, take it easy now!

ceo003, do you live in Nigeria? If yes, when last did you clear a car? To clear that car today is in the neighbourhood of 250k naira; roughly $1500.
You also said shipping is $500. Won't he truck it to the port before shipping? He's looking at another $1000 for trucking and shipping; that's around 160k naira.
Now you said cost of car is about $2800; roughly 448k naira. 448k+160k+250k= 858k.
So, 850k is fair. Truth is Nigerians buy cars more expensive than it's sold abroad. Don't blame the sellers, blame your Government.
