Nigeria has 40 federal universities 39 state universities 50 private universities 22 federal polytechnics 38 state polytechnics 22 private polytechnics 17 federal colleges of agriculture 19 state colleges of Agriculture 22 federal monotechnics 4 state monotechnics 4 private mono technics 50 colleges of health technology 120 vocational educational technological institutes data from http://www.nuc.edu.ng/pages/universities.asp?ty=2&order=inst_name&page=1 and http://nbte.gov.ng/institutions.html Why is it that Nigerian students still cant get an admission into higher institutions even with the proliferation of higher institutes in Nigeria? |
