The University of Osun, Ikire Campus, was this morning shutdown as accident claimed the lives of students. The Department of History is among the four departments moved to Ikire as an extension. Marking their departmental week, excursion was scheduled to enlightened the week which was successfully occasioned. The excursion which was supposed to be graced with melodious chants turned out to become bloody as their bus swayed off 30feet cliff and landed on rock. As at the time of this report, 3students were dead while about 10 left seriously injured. The reactions of the students led to the destructions of the school properties because the school management refused releasing school bus for students' activities. In order to avoid more casualties as gun shots and tear gas were being released to alleviate it, the school was shut as students were asked to go home.
