How to browse with mtn without charge:
The configuration setting:
On your phone, 6230 and above
Go to menu>settings
Connection setting>
Active. Web settings
Select empty>
Edit active web settings>
Type, setting name= Mtn wap
Homepage=http://wap.mtnonline.com
Proxies= Enable
Primary proxy=10.199.212.2
Secondary proxy=8080
Data bearer=gprs
Bearer settings>
Gprs access point=web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Authentication=normal
Login type=automatic
Username=web
Password=web


On the nokia pc suit
After installation of nokia pc suit>
A window will open prompt you to connect phone>
Connect the usb to system>phone>
Phone will be installed >
After installation, pc will show full phone version>
Click on connect to internet>
Click on settings before full connection>
Select phone model e.g. nokia 6230
Click next
Select manual configuration


Type in boxes:
Access point=web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Username =web
Password=web
Click on connect to internet
And activate mtn wap on the phone
Minimize the screen.

Note this configuration is valid for opera browser for now
