it is true the list is out. but the problem is that the 1st list has been torn off the board as in the case of the social sciences faculty. i was there last week and i only the supplementary list. maybe the whole list should be pasted again.

206 in ume and 161in post ume is too low.she would not even be considered for admission if she does not score up to 200 in post ume.beware of admission fraudsters that would ask you for money.her chance for admission is slim if not impossible

The Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has approved that the University should resume for the 2008/2009 academic session on Sunday, November 30th, 2008.

Highlighted as follows:-
November 30, 2008 2008/2009 Harmattan Semester begins. Fresh students come into residence.

December 1-6, 2008 Screening/Verification, On-Line Registration and Orientation for Fresh students

December 7, 2008 Returning Undergraduate and Postgraduate students come into Residence.

December 8, 2008 Harmattan Semester Lectures begin.

December 31, 2008 On-Line Registration Ends

February 2, 2009 MATRICULATION



INSTRUCTIONS TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS FOR THE 2008/2009 ACADEMIC YEAR

Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first and/or second choice and took the Obafemi Awolowo University Post UME are advised to check their names from the list of candidates admitted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the Obafemi Awolowo University Website ePortal or at the Obafemi Awolowo University Liaison Office in Lagos (9, Methodist Church Street, Opebi, Ikeja). Confirmation of admission on the OAU website is through the usage of the scratch card earlier used for the Post UME Screening exercise.

Candidates who have been offered admission are required to purchase appropriate SCRATCH CARDS for the payment of fees after clearance with the admissions office. Payment should be On-Line also using O.A.U e-portal.

Then why is OAU not maintaining her integrity? If they know the list would not be transferred to their site, then let them tell us so as not to keep worrying on what is not.

this is not good at all 30th resumption as they say, but as at now 21st (9 days to d-day) nuthin on publishing the list i belief they should have published the names in punch instead of the information because it is what matters. the liason office too is not a place to trust cos i was told nxt week but the date not exacty sure. dont know what they r up to this time[color=#990000][/color]

I can authoritatively say that the list is in the school though it was rumoured that the list is on net but as the time of posting, www.eportal.oauife.edu.ng has nothing that has to do with the OAU 2008/2009 admission list but here are some very important news for all great ife prospective students:

UNDERGRADUATE, DIPLOMA AND DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS
I. DESCRIPTION OF SCRATCH CARDS VALUE
(i). Administration, Arts, Education (Arts), Social Sciences and Law - N13,300.00
(ii). Agriculture, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Education (Science),
Environmental Design and Management, Science and Technology - N15,800.00
(iii). Administration (Local Government Studies) - N63,300.00
(iv) Accommodation: - N3,090.00
(Freshmen will be provided accommodation on first come first served basis).

II OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR 2008/2009 REGISTRATION OF FRESHMEN
Candidates who have been offered admission should present the original and four (4)
photo copies each of their credentials including Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of
Age. Each candidate will be required to submit his/her admission letter later.
III. SCREENING OF FRESH STUDENTS
All fresh students are to report in the University for the screening exercise at their
various Faculties. They should come with their various documents listed above as
well as the scratch card relating to the payments of the charges listed above. Any
freshman who fails to report for the screening exercise within the specific period will
be deemed to have forfeited his/her admission offer. Flyer for procedure on
screening/registration for freshmen will be made available at the Admissions Office
and in all Faculties.
IV PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING THE E-PORTAL:
1. Log on to the University e-Portal using your Registration Number and the
Password you used last on the Portal.
2. Complete the following Forms correctly on the Portal.
(i) CERTIFICATE FORM (for not more than two sittings).
(ii) BIO-DATA
(iii) COURSE REGISTRATION FORM
(iv) BED SPACE CLEARANCE FORM (Optional)
The Course Registration Form will only be available upon:
(a) Successful filling of Forms (i) and (ii) above which do not
require Scratch Card.
(b) Payment of appropriate fees using Scratch Cards to be
purchased from the Banks earlier mentioned above
depending on your Faculties or Departments:
Please note the following:
*Scratch Cards will be available in the Banks as from 24th November, 2008.
*Limited spaces of 500 are available for each of the Special Electives except
SER 001 and LIB 001 which are compulsory for all Fresh Students.
3. Problems, if any, will be addressed on-line using any of the following options:
(i) Online help on the e-portal
(ii) Six Hotlines will be available for contact (the Hot lines will be
available on the e-portal).[/color]

And finally, the list of admitted students have been uploaded on the eportal so you can check now. You can either view the whole list or check your admission status using your UME reg. no. Never mind about the 2007/2008 that's still written there.

hey guyz the list pasted is only for those who used jamb what about people like me who passed our predegree exams whatz our fate. isn't OAU going to grant us admission too? plz who knowz when our own list going to come out? and can i make electrical electronics engineering with my PD final mark as 66.2
