Some footballers just let everyone down, some infact let themselves down so much their coping mechanisms were all but shameful... Checkout our list of 10 Footballers Who Let Everyone Down;

1. Luis Nani (Portugal)

We all know Cristiano Ronaldo's story, how he got signed to united from sporting lisbon and all that... Well Nani's story was similar, United were all set to purchase another winger who would set out to rule the world like the wonder kid they had previously landed from a similar venture. And then nothing for years, in fact many thought he was being watered down by Ronaldo's genius and then Ronaldo left united and still nothing. He was loaned back to Sporting Lisbon a few days ago and calling his return performance a disappointment is an understatement.

2. Fernando Torres (Spain)

Hot utility striker from Atletico moves to Liverpool and becomes a goal scoring sensation... Gets injured and moves to Chelsea for 50 million pounds and all he was doing there was gathering money for his pension plan and his 401k. Then the most embarrassing part is he refused a move away from Stamford bridge stating the remainder of his pay must be paid in full for the years left on his Chelsea contract. Probably because he know what he was earning at chelsea was robbery. Recently got loaned to AC Milan Good look not scoring over there.

3. Ricardo Kaka (Brazil)

As I recall this one was dubbed one of the best players in the world. Madrid had every intention of signing the two best players in the world when the shelled out over 130 million pounds for both players. Ronaldo went on to become an absolute sensation and Kaka went on to fade into obscurity. So terribly Obscure he moved back to AC Milan for free after 2 seasons... That terrible.

4. Bebe (Portugal)

This is by far the foolishest footballer on this list. Man UTD were doing the exact same thing again, signing a supposed to be star winger. And then BEBE was terrible. If he took a penaltyin front on an empty goal post the ball WILL end up in the dressing room. So many people had high hopes for him and then he sucked, to make matters worse he then went of to blame Cristiano Ronaldo's success for his own demise. Whoever scouted him has to have been sacked. Shameful.

5. Anderson (Brazil)

Its funny how this list has so many united players, not sure which team makes the worst signing decisions, Chelsea of Man UTD? This one was all set to be a Paul Scholes replacement. Signed for some 21 millions pounds was it. He had his corn rows looking fly like "I'm here to save your attacking midfield"... He did manage a single competitive goal for united in 3 years. That's all one can say.
