I want to know what you all think?i was having this argument with some people yesterday.personally i am not sure about this but then if i recall my days back in secondary school especially all the top brains we had at that time spoke both there mother tongue or any language(depending where they are born and bred) and english.This is despite the fact that was a sizable no students that time that could only speak english .

Let me assume, this question has some figments of "intelligence"


I am to assume, those people i see in the village

are more intelligent, than i am.

The most intelligent people i know, speak only ONE lingo.

IF you want to learn another, go ahead.

Some people easily catch languages, some dont like all of us in my family

I doubt if being multi- or monoligual has any effect on brilliance, but a multilingual person will definitely have an edge over a monolingual in many things. It's good to be multilingual, but to say a multilingual person is more intelligent than a monolingual, I doubt that.
