Introduction
Our client is a leading provider of marine logistics to the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria and a major global player in that market is in need of an accountant. The accountant would be located at its Port Harcourt Administrative Office.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate would be
1. A graduate of accounting,
2. The Individual recently qualified as a professional accountant
3. The Individual has current experience in financial accounting & controls.
4. The person must be able to work autonomously and deliver to tight deadlines.
5. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure are required.
Job Specification
• The candidate must have practical experience of computing packages and integrated accounting software, preferably Sage 50.
• Familiarity with the Maritime Industry would be an advantage
• The position is responsible for the daily management, maintenance and integrity of the General Ledger, in particular the monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts. The person will be in charge of managing the Inter Group trading accounts and also undertake various ad-hoc assignments.
