Finally, a Nigerian based software company, CloudWare technologies has launched the long awaited ebola affected area detection and prevention mobile application which supports usage from anywhere in the world.

The ebola prevention application which will be available to android, blackberry users and as an SMS Application is an initiative of Innovative Technologies for Development Foundation (IT4D)mail IT4D Application and Technology Developed by CloudWare Technologies.

2. Affected Area Mapping: App shows you your location in relation to affected areas around you on map, And gives you preventive measures to help you prevent this deadly disease

While I appreciate the effort it might have taken to code the app, frankly I see neither a usefulness or need for it.

Everybody needs the application, this is how it works; you download and install the application on your phone, it detects your location(using GPS) as you move from one location to another, it tells you about each ebola case that happens as soon as they are happening. It knows the location of affected places and it notifies you when you are moving towards that place. It gives you preventive measures suggestions and it also keeps you updated with confirmed information on how to protect yourself from contracting ebola.

Its for people who have not caught ebola.
