Police arrest 13 touts at embassies in Lagos
The police in Lagos on Wednesday arrested 13 suspected touts in front of some embassies at Walter Carrington Street on Victoria Island in Lagos.

The Commissioner of police in Lagos State, Mr Umar Manko, who confirmed the arrest, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the suspects were arrested during a raid.
Manko said that the touts people were constituting some nuisance in front of embassies in the area, saying that the raid would continue to check illegal activities in the area.
An embassy staff, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told NAN that 27 people were arrested by policemen attached to the Bar Beach Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr Fayoade Adegoke.
The embassy worker said that after the screening of the suspects, 13 people who could not identify themselves with genuine identity cards were arrested.
“A number of touts, agents and vendors continue to harass visa applicants daily in front of our embassy building.

touts are very common in US embassy Lagos. I remember when I was harass by those touts to snap a passport for about 2000 naira.

So if a tout has a National ID Card or Drivers License, he is let off the hook to tout.. na wa for Bar Beach Police.. always looking for money
