Maybe I'm mistaken, but apparently people have expectations of God, the same God who is said to be omnipotent, the ultimate arbiter, and the uncaused cause.

But God has barely informed man of how he wishes to conduct himself. In the absence of any such information, does it make sense to expect any pattern of behavior from him? Keep in mind that he is not bound by our desires. You cannot even say that God is bound by his word, for he cannot be bound.

There might be objections to the statement that God cannot be bound by his word, so here are some illuminating events, up for examination:

From the bible:

1. ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

2. EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

3. PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

From the qur'an:

1. And Allah will not mislead a people after He hath guided them, in order that He may make clear to them what to fear (and avoid)- for Allah hath knowledge of all things.
Qur'an 9:115

Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to thee; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, So they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the signs, not they will believe in them; in so much that when they come to thee, they (but) dispute with thee; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients." Qur'an 6:25

2. Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Qur'an 39:53

Allah forgiveth not (The sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgiveth whom He pleaseth other sins than this: one who joins other gods with Allah, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right) Qur'an 4:116

It might be said, that God did this because that, or he did that because this, but barring instances where he explains the reason for a particular act, on what basis do we proffer reasons for his actions? Is it based on our desires, or on his word?

You might choose to ignore conflicting statements made by him, and say that his word is to be trusted, because he is trustworthy, but what's to say that your idea of trustworthy is the same as his?

There are things that happen to us that we attribute to forces other than God, because we expect God to fit into our expectations. We must realise that we cannot have expectations of him, and that therefore what we think is not his doing, might as well be his. He is not accountable to us, to himself, or to anything else. He can decide tomorrow that he finds the wicked pleasing in his sight and that only them will see paradise. You would just have to deal with it.

OP You can only be accountable to a superior or to parent body who delegates you.

But The Almighty God had none of the two hence cannot and will never be restricted.

That's what I'm saying na. He is not accountable to anybody, not even to himself.

OP, just know that if you die today, you are going to hell. God has not changed his mind.
