Some people died in the war; some were killed by law. Some people committed suicide, some were victims of genocide. Some people were laced with acid, some drowned in Lake Placid. Some people give birth to prophets; some love to kill them. Some people sit by the side of the river and wait; some politicize the nation with bait. Some people fear the darkness; some prosper in blackness. Some people are artists; some are scientists. For a whole lifetime some people laugh, yet in tears some people bath. Some people live by the gun; some kill for fun. Some people are writers while some are fighters but what we share in common is DEATH.

Some people look at the sky and nod; some climb the mountains and groan. Some people stand on the moon and sigh; some sketch the cliffs and shiver. Some people travel by the sea; some never left the ship. Some people stab the activists; some remove the bottles. Some people are poets; some are pirates. Some people die while being given birth to; some never survived the womb. Some people grow old; some die young but what we share in common is DEATH.

Thousands of paths we follow, but one thing binds us together, DEATH. You may be rich like Aliko Dangote or poor like Fatai Rolling Dollar, the common thing that binds us together is death. God loved Prophet Mohammed (S. A. W.) but yet he died. Moses, Noah, David, Isaac, Zechariah, Elijah and others too never escaped the taste of death. With the great blessing that King Solomon, son of David received from God, he too knew, as every man will know sometime in his life, that Nature cares neither for smiles nor tears, for life nor death, and that the sun shines as gladly on coffins as on cradles. People, no matter how wise they may be know not when death will visit. Like fishes in nets or birds in snares, people are often caught by sudden tragedies. Even the tree that has seen generations and a river that has flown for centuries; even the mountain that inhabits a million-year-old demon and the demon itself shall one day be silenced and cast into powders. If a king has fifty thousand wives and three million concubines; a trifle, a little, the likeness of a dream, DEATH comes as the end. The beauty which was said to have launched a thousand ships on Trojan shore has died. The Adonis (Joseph/Yusuf) who had make women cut their fingers by his rare perfection has decayed in the mud. The beauty which teased and lured Samson into his downfall is no more. The lady, who was said to have been the strength in Shakespeare's arm, has long passed away. Use your body cream and spray a good perfume, they are good for you; they will make your body palatable to the insects that will devour it. The poor men will die; the rich aren't immortal. Even the prophets die, not to talk of kings. The knowledge we acquire; the strength we require; the wisdom we admire and the wealth we desire; all would be lost to the pages of history. Both the righteous and evil are being awaited on the other side.

The beauty of the flowers in the field, see the impressions they build. Oh! How they spice my mood! But even when they are well watered and given adequate food, they have to die, vanish like the Druids and burn away like embers and the crude.

"I know of flowers unseen and they distill beatific dawns, but tares withhold possession of our mangled lawns". (Prof. Wole Soyinka).

Enjoy prosperity while you can. Enjoy sex; enjoy music; enjoy the breeze of the night; enjoy songs of the trees; enjoy the lips of your partner, the warmness of the sun and the caress of water while you still can, because death will soon come to deprive you of those. Enjoy what you can possibly enjoy whether love or hate, pleasure or pain, righteousness or evil, lies or truth, wealth or poverty; death comes as the end. The materials of this world, whether diamond stones or gold, stays with this world. eBayism warns!

"A wise man thinks much about death, while the fool thinks about having a good time now". (Ecclesiastes 7:4).
I may be a writer and you a reader, what we share in common is death.

Lord eBay, LeScoth.
