They're still using the 50s o. Say they need 70 people and they're 150 already. They'll use 50s and screen, maybe it'll reduce them to 100, then they'll arrange them in order of decreasing cgpa and pick the 1st 70. So 50s isn't like the only guarantee again. If someone meets the 50s requirement and there are plenty people with higher cgpa's, the person may still not cross to idi-araba. It's crazy. One year one chick told me this morning, I think it's true.

Na wetin diploma wan cause be this o. They admitted close to 170 diploma student for MBBS. how many dem go pick self and the school capacity for MBBS na 150. I guess this will make them plan well in future. The school is about to change the destiny of some people o. 50 is enough to make u cross to idi-araba o.

I have a kogi mbbs friend that had more than 56 and that's not the only person from kogi that will have above that. You know few are chosen from each ELDs,like 3-5 of the highest will be considered. If he wants to wait for merit,he can and if not, there is coc.

Actually, diploma was like 200+ after all there back door supplementary list comot. But u know the highest bidder get mouth pass, after paying more than half a million for diploma and you want them to overlook them like that?50 isn't enough at all.Medical students are always meant to compete from utme days till they become a fully fledge Dr. Or even consultant cos Dr.s do compete too.Medic is all about competition,it's meant for warriors/competitors.

Competition kini. Competition is in almost all top profession. But this is academic we r talking about. Am sure they admitted more than 150 in utme. 200 plus in diploma when your capacity is just 150.
Its wrong bro. Those who came in via utme competed with over 6000 candidates. With most of them getting above 70. Now u wanna cross half of them to idi-araba. What's the cut off mark to cross to idi-araba. Most medical student are quiet good.
If its competition why don't they allow guys with 5.0 from chemistry, bio chem, to cross to medicine like UI.
Its not competition bro, it's for the rich.
They could have just admitted few MBBS diploma student.

The top courses as you've said are competitive but when it comes to medicals,it's competition from time to time.Though they said top 100 from utme and if they can take more than 50 from diploma which they did last year, they will. You said they should add chemistry and d likes to compete too??do you know what the internal competition is like not to talk of adding external competitors....You know what, for the non medical competitive courses, the competition drastically reduce after gaining the admission.Do you know medical courses don't stop there after d admission??do you know they will still face "negative marking" in their incourses which is done in almost every 2-3 weeks??or do accounting/law and d likes do that?do those top courses compete per year as mbbs and bds do?having a reseat for pros(Annual professional exam) while still in school...It does not happen in those competitive courses you mentioned. If you see a medical student that spent more than 6yrs in medical school, respect him/her.They use 50(credit pass),anything below that is fail and this doesn't happen in top courses you said. It's not that he's dull but he's a lion with scar.My point is competition for other "top courses" as said reduces compare to medical courses.

I've seen some1 with 45 get in for law of 63. Its done randomly and not based on scores cos I've seen a situation where 2 guys frm the same ELDS and the lower one was chosen

Randomly?? You think so?Did u ask the guy if long leg was involved Well,he might say "No" but who will review to you that he came in through "extra leg"...Anyways,no probs but to be on saver side,I think he should get coc cos ppl are ready to pay any amount for any available slot.
