Which way NIGERIA?

It looked perfect in the beginning,
Our ancestors clamored for it,
Harmony seemed to have pitched its tents with us permanently,
Government was like heaven on earth,
Suddenly, our walls are cracked,
Lizards had made a home of them,
Friendship turned to enmity,
Family meeting venue turned to battleground,
Brothers rising against brothers,
Lives are wasting away,
Leaders of tomorrow are blown off in contests as they become bows and arrows in the hands of semi-gods.

Yet the gods remained unmoved as their heirs are kept away from battlegrounds.
Songs of peace had faded away as the loud noise of rivalry fills our ears.

Trust as become d thing of the past, 'cos every tom, dick and harry are filling their tables with delicacies at the expense of the unprivileged,
Ask for your rights, and be ready to be sacrificed to the semi-gods.
We've become laughing stuck to the slave-masters and they toy with our destiny in return.

Serving the unprivileged no longer exist as the "gods" sees it as means of enriching themselves
How long shall these continue?
What report shall we give our generations to come?

Will there ever be a change?
