Just as fans of Wizkid are still trying to understand if his album release on iTunes was a stunt or a smart marketing move, the Starboy boss says his sophomore album ‘Ayo’ (Joy) was leaked without his consent.

On the unexpected release of the full 19 track album on iTunes, Wizkid said ‘They leaked my shit!! Its all Good still.’

The star power is definitely there, and if you think WizKid is losing fans or isn’t having a great year think again. A quick look at iTunes World Music Category chart shows WizKid’s latest album, Ayo (Joy) at number one; 3 places above P-Square who are sitting at number four.

I accept the leak might be a publicity stunt. What you have to realize is this, it also got leaked on some website less than 10 mins after it dropped. I personally dropped two of the tracks less than 20 mins after the album dropped. One hour after that, the songs have flooded blogs. Yet people still bought an album that was leaked on several blogs to the extent that it hit number in less than 24 hours. Brother, That is not a publicity stunt.

But why would you be so wicked to that level to just illegally distribute someone's hard work for your selfish purpose. If people like you keep existing on the internet then the future of our music industry would remain at a standstill. And you are proud of it.
