Diego Costa is to return to Chelsea's starting line-
up despite his hamstring travails for the Premier
League clash at home to Aston Villa.
Striker Costa, who has scored seven Premier
League goals this season, was rested for the
midweek Capital One Cup defeat of Bolton, in
which Chelsea made nine changes from the side
which began the draw at Manchester City.
Manager Jose Mourinho is likely to revert to the
majority of the side which started at City, although
Brazil midfielder Ramires is out for at least
another week.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa hope to be close to full strength against Chelsea on Saturday after
a virus hit the squad last weekend.
A number of players were affected by a bug before, during and after their 3-0 Barclays
Premier League defeat by Arsenal.
However, manager Paul Lambert believes the illness has cleared up and that only captain
Ron Vlaar (calf) and strikers Christian Benteke (Achilles) and Libor Kozak (broken leg)
are unavailable.
Match Notes
Chelsea's lead at the top owes much to the goals of Diego Costa, whose hamstring
problem is being managed from game to game.
Costa has already scored seven of Chelsea's 16 league goals in five games, 10 more than
this time last year.
Villa are joint second, three points behind Chelsea, and looking to bounce back from their
3-0 defeat by Arsenal last week.
They have lost 8-0 and 7-1 at Chelsea in recent seasons, but have yet to concede an away
goal.
Stat of the game : Chelsea have scored 27 goals in their last seven Premier League home
games against Villa.

Shurrle deserve to start from the bench after his misses against bolton in mid week.

Remy needs to play more with the team; he is too individualistic and it isn't good for our title campaign this season.

Would have loved to see Fellipe Luis start, I like how he marks and connect with the attack. But even he knows that it won't be easy displacing azpilicueta.

Aston villa's ferrytale start, is just about to get burried after schoolboy team arsenal killed it last week.
