‘Wake up morons!’ The angry voice bellowed on us and we knew it wouldn’t take long before several strokes of cain decended on us.
I jumped off the bed and in less than ten seconds remade it and dashed off to shower. As i approached our sleeping quaters, senior prefect Wale had already began to assemble the sheeps for slaughter. Most of his victims being junior school students.
‘come here!’ i almost jumped out of my skin as Tunde, the labour prefect ambushed me.
‘you are trying to escape, aren’t you?’ He had the smirk of lord voldermont on his face, making me wish i had harry’s wand.
‘Escape how?’ i asked. I was ready for his questions. For some reasons known to him, he hated me. Probably more than satan’s hatred for God’s children. I remembered the first day i stepped my foot into the school, he was the first living thing i spoke to. He told me i had a familiar face and offered to show me around. He was nice. Way too nice until he knew my name.
‘Are you stupid? You are answering my question with a question?’ he looked like he was going to pounce on me but i wasn’t worried.
‘well technically, that wasn’t a valid question’ i joked, provoking a stroke on my shoulder. Until now, i was totally oblivious of the fact that he wielded a cain. I screamed and was rewarded with the attention of senior prefect wale.
‘what’s going on there’ wale asked with his very masculine voice.
‘It’s this silly boy o’ Tunde pointed at me. ‘he was trying to hide’
‘i wasn’t trying to hide!’ i snapped, provoking a fierce look from Tunde.
‘so you are calling me a liar?’
‘He wasn’t trying to hide. I saw him earlier’ Wale cut in,surprising me as well as Tunde. ‘run along now’ he ordered and i obliged but only after giving Tunde a spiteful smile.

The morning assembly was rowdy as usual. Our teachers had refused to calloff their three weeks old strike and we wondered why the school head had now fired them.
The strike by the teachers gave room for school prefects to act however they pleased. They moved around the school like children of zeus, bossing around everyone and make a spectackle of whoever disobeyed.
It became harder for me to avoid Tunde but something or someone alwas came to my aid but within me i knew he was going to get his chance sooner or later.
Somehow the prefects managed to control the crowd long enough for the assembly routine to go on and then we were dismissed. As i passed by Tunde, he had a look in his eyes that said: i am coming for you.

Laughter erupted from the back row of the classroom as the squeeky voice emerged from the techno speaker. The new animated video of ‘oga at the top’ brought back memories of one of the trendiest buzz online. I tried hard to resist sitting back but i just couldn’t. I bounced out of my seat, made for the back and jovially snatched the phone from philip. Just as i raised my head to watch the cartoon, Tunder rushed in as though he had been watching from behind the walls for his prey to emerge.
He grabbed my hand and wrested the phone from me.
‘so you are watching porn!’
Re: A Boy's Diary by Diamondwriter(m): 1:07pm On Sep 27, 2014
Just before our teachers embarked on their strike, five students were expelled from the school as they were caught red-handed by a teacher, watching pornography. In the past, scores of students have been shown the back door for the same reason as the school has a zero tolerance for indecency. Those who for some firm connections were not driven, were severely punished.
My school was far from the most expensive private school in the area but was the biggest in terms of land mass and one of the very best in terms of academics over the last decades. It was therefore the dream of every student who did not go to a unity school, to be admitted into my school as we were held in equal regards.
I chosed to stay quiet as Tunde accused me of watching pornography on the phone as i feared i would said the worst if i opened my mouth. Tunde was many things but i never thought him to be this vindictive to the extent of stooping so low to calumny. I was irritated.
For a minute i took solace in the fact that there couldn't possibly be a trace of pornography in the phone as it belonged to Philip. Philip wasn't the holliest person around but he was a regular member of the schools scripture union and seem pretty decent to me.
'so this is what you were watching, huh?' Tunde pushed forward the phone to my face and i didn't see the need to look until i thought i saw a girl totally naked.
'Jesus!' I exclaimed. Causing a frenzy in the classrom.
I am finished was the thought on my mind as i was pulled out of the class to face judgement.

I checked my watch and it showed that i had waited for more than an hour. It seemed like my punishment had already began before i appeared before the disciplinary board.
Gosh! Just the sound of it in my soft little head made almost gave me a cardiac arrest at each thought.
It was taking too long and i needed to use the rest room, there came my confusion. The rest room was barely three minutes away from where i sat but i was next in line to stand before the panel. I played a scenerio in my head where i was called upon but wasn't found. In another scene, i held back the liquid pushing against my bladder only to wet my trousers just as the judgement was about to be passed on me. Both scenerios were disastrous which placed me in a devastating position. I called on God and he took my mind off it.
'Peter Ehiosu?' a lady called.
'yes ma'm' i answered hurriedly.
She started at me pitifully that made me pity myself more.
'come inside'. It sounded like judgement already.

I was made to stand in the middle of a round table panel that was chaired by the school head flank by the principal, his vices, HOD's,highranked staffs, the senior prefect and my nemesis, Tunde.
As Tunde read out my case before the panel, murmur eveloped the room and it sounded like i had already been condemned. I stared liked a lost puppy at Tunde as he finished talking and he showed no remorse.
'Mr Peter, what do you have to say for yourself? You have five minutes'. The school head voice filtered through my ears.
I was totally unprepared for this. Nobody had informed me prior to the sitting that i would be given the chance to defend myself. I probably would have read a John Grisham novel before coming.
' i didn't do it ' was all i could say and the room went dead silent for a minute.
'Tunde do you have any proof that he did it?' the school head asked gently.
'i do sir' Tunde answered proudly and approached the high chair armed with the phone he snatched from me. He showed it to the head and others as they looked at me with disguist which made me vow to kill Tunde if i ever got into NDA.
I was given one last chance to defend myself and i utilized it better than the previous. I stated that the phone did not belong to me and i had no Knowledge of the video in question until it was shown to me by Tunde. However my problem heightened when i was asked to show the video i claimed to have been watching and i couldn't. Apparently Tunde had deleted it. I saw my doom.
I was excused from the room and called back it after five minutes. It was judgement time.
As i stood before the panel, ready to hear the verdict, i felt something like a cain hit me hard on my back and the voice that followed was Tunde's. But Tunde was before me and his lips weren't moving. Suddenly, things went blank.

It took my several seconds to understand what happened. I still didn't know which universe was real. Until the devil spoke.
'you even have the guts to sleep him' Tunde said in a way that made me pity him. He no longer sounded as evil but sounded surely hungry. 'This isn't your class where you do whatever is it you do there' he said irritably 'infact stand up!' he commanded and i obliged.
'what's this kid doing here?' One of his classmates asked in a very annoying manner. Even those who weren't prefect were used to talking arrongantly to a junior students, even the small ones that were fortunate to be seniors.
'i brought him here' Tunde said in a manner that suggested that he didn't like the guy anymore i did.
'you brought him here, to teach us?' the dude had guts but i beginning to like him. As my friend would say, an enemy of my enemy is my friend.
'James, just walk away.' Tunde said exhaustedly but James didn't seem like the type that would avoid trouble.
'where am i going to work to?' James asked dramatically. 'this is my class remember'.
' i am really not in the mood for your gimmicks' Tunde declared and turned his attention elsewhere.
'look at me monkey!' James gave Tunde a light slap at him temple and i knew it was game on.
'what's your problem!' Tunde bounced up, moving inches closer to James with his eyes blood red.
Just when i was getting to enjoy the party, the senior prefect stepped in.
' what's going on?' he asked in a familiar tone. His was an example of charismatic as his voice quickly created some decorium even though it was amongst his own mates.
I noticed James back away and withdrew to the back of the classroom when senior prefect wale approached the crime scene. Wale had a little chat with Tunde after which Tunde regained his calm.
'so what about him?' Wale asked Tunde, pointing to me.
'He broke the 20th commandment' at i didn't understand at first then Tunde brought out the phone and showed something to Wale who let out a gasp.
'i can't take him before panel so i don't know what to do with him'.
'i do....' A feminine voice said.
I suddenly felt an urge to see the vessel from where the voice escaped. She was all smiles as she stared at me. Beautiful is the perfect word for her. The assistant senior prefect strolled closer in her perfectly fitted uniform and her curly hair. Amy was her name.
'come with me' she said gently and just as the two other men with me, i couldn't complain.
Getting outside the classroom was like getting out of prison. I kissed every bit of air that came my way.
'you can go now' she said as she squeezed a paper into my palms.
I was grateful as i was taken abacked. I was getting off the hook so easily. ' don't read the note until you get to your class' she said and was off.
I was tempted to read the note as i journeyed back but i didn't. I owed her that much.
After receiving a hero's welcome and sharing story of what and what didn't transpire in the seniors class, i retired to read the note Amy had given me. It read: meet me at palmhub by 9......
