@Code house and all, am sorry, I just got the chance to view my thread. It is a mini project needed within 4 days. Just a simple program that will be able to determine if one has malaria and typhoid based on the info the user or patient will supply. The only difference is that it must be an expert system

get all the symptoms of malaria, get all of typhoid
then create a form in the language or platform you were taught.

lets say malaria has 5 symptoms, typhoid has 5 with 3 from both sides intercepting
then your form should have a 7 dropdown or select formasking how the patient is feeling.
it will be 7 because 3 extras from the intercept has been removed

then in your code, do a check

if-else is what you need and i believe you must have been taught
you will be doing 3 checks
malaria, typhoid and "sorry, we can't diagnose"

i encourage you to put some effort into writing the initial code and let us correct you.
that way, you will learn.

expert system with 7 dropdown..why not just ask the doctor? Well I intend to design a system with voice and other features to enhance functionality, rich GUI, reporting - offline and online, etc

Good morning mate! And you think I depend on that algorithm (method) to write an expert system? Others can't do it in four days but you could? For the right fee?

I am sure that algorithm is appealing to you and you've thought of it to be so logical that it is infact the perfect solution?

Why the emphasis on "female"? If you had programming knowledge, it would have been a different thing...you require someone to write you an expert system, a school project, right?

Personally, I don't think you could pay for my knowledge or whatever time and resources, I might put in your project but to come up with the "I am a female" and "I don't have money" idea because someone here suggested it, c'mon? That's messed up! Anyone could have done it for you for free, really!

Maybe you should think of something else that will not take time or tasking and you will find many supplying the codes as someone pointed out.

i just googled the word heuristic for you in case you assume it is the inverse of "expert system"

My Bad! I was mistaking an Expert System for a Neural Network.

@Codehouse, it is not a project. It is a mini project given to us by our lecturer taking us on Expert system. For ur info. I only said am a female b/c some were mistaking me to be a guy. Dont bother about doing it for me, okay. All the same thanks for ur comment.

Ok, Expert system for a mini project? Could fit more for a final year project, especially when it is on Malaria and thypoid, most hospitals don't even have it as part of their system.

About the female issue, having a look at the topic again, I can relate with the "help a sister", generally a username without the (f)sex status makes it feel like one is a male, excpet the username states otherwise. Not to mention the fact that some guys pose as female on the forum.
