Nigeria is changing; not the changes I like.
There are new developments; not the ones we are happy about.

There was a country: the joy of sellers was in the competence of the government. The government will provide good road networks, malls and loans for them. In that malls, they traded and made profits... At the end, they would chorus " Chineke gọzie Nnamdi Azikwe."

There was a country: the poor and the orphans could compete at any level. Education was a priority on the government's to-do list... The fruit of education then was certainly good. It brought about pride and fulfilments, the lows and highs studied under a roof... As he mounted that podium to clinch that prize, his late parents whispered from the world beyond "Oba l'ókè a yónú sí Awolowo."

There was a country: peace and unity were inseparable twins. Life was near a bed of roses. Lost properties were returned by true Nigerians that found them... In one voice they sang "Nagode Ahmadu Bello"

Today, the traffic congestion created by the roads the government did not fix is the opportunity for sellers to sell to passengers.

Today, education does not come for free. The poor and orphan cannot compete. Today, returning lost properties to the owner is "foolishness." Life is not even a carpet of grasses, let alone a bed of roses.

Nigeria is changing, only because change is constant.

Hidentity is an African.

Thank you so much. My joy is that some minds remain incorruptible and wise even amidst the devastating changes.
