Along the line I had malaria and I was in their health centre

Me; Nooooo mummy malaria ni mo ni(No! Mum isn't like that, am having malaria)

Me; won ma discharge mi lola( By tomorrow I'll be discharged)
Mum; olorun maje, 4yrs ni wa lo(God forbid! You ain't coming here anytime soon, you'll complete your 4 years course on malaria) ... Pls don't laugh o.

That's the beauty of ones native tongue.
Learning or speaking English language is an intellectual exercise which most times emotional feelings ain't included...
What's the essence of what I've just highlighted? Language is something closer to the heart. If I should translate that into English, apparently, you'll understand what the Joke is all about, but emotionally you won't feel the same way a yoruba boy would feel, and the reason isn't far fetched, it's just because that's his mother tongue. Same thing goes with your own personal native language, you'll understand better than a second speaker of your language
Anyways, I'll translate that, for those who doesn't understand yoruba, especially you, my dear friend. But don't blame if it's kinda dry... Lol.
