Dear Comrades,
JOHESU REPORT ON THE OUTCOME OF MEETING WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

The meeting with the Federal Government ended with the Government, asking the JOHESU to give government till the end of the Month to implement the agreement.

On adjustment of salary, the Committee submitted its report with its financial implication. JOHESU asked for a copy and that two months arrears should be paid the way it was paid to NMA.
The Government pleaded to study it within a week and transmit same to Mr. President for approval.

On retirement age: The 12 man committee meeting was fixed for next week to resolve the bottle necks.

On payment of skipping of CONHESS 10 arrears, The FMOH is to send out a template to all institutions to submit the names of concerned staff for its financial implication and inclusion in 2015 budget.

The Laboratory Scientist Intern Circular on entry point was reported to have been issued by the OHCSF. Though no copy was brought to the meeting.

Circular to correct the earlier circular on appointment of JOHESU members as Consultants was agreed to be released on Monday 13th October by Federal Ministry of Health.

Appointment of CMD, Abolition of DCMAC, Advertorial , etc are being handled by the Presidential Committee.

The Government reported that the committee had ended its assignment and they are to submit the report to Government before the end of the month.

Promotion of members from CONHESS 14 - 15 the Government claimed that they have not received the lists of stagnant officers from JOHESU which JOHESU debunked. Permanent Secretary of FMOH was asked to take charge of it

The government pleaded that JOHESU should give them till the last week of October 2014 to address the whole issues.

JOHESU will write with a time line of the end of the Month for the issues to be concluded or face strike action.

Above, is the report of the meeting as filed in by the General Secretary who attended the meeting on behalf of the Union.

However, I am directed by the National President to request each unit branch chairmen/Secretaries to study this report and express necessary comments to be forwarded to the National Secretariat with immediate effect.
Please indicate if you are satisfied with this report; in other words, we wait till the end of October, 2014 before the Strike action. If you disagree, state so and indicate when you suggest for a strike action.

Your report should reach the National Secretariat later today or Monday.

Don't be in a rush to embark on a strike, Strike action has a way of putting down even if it seems u hv won. In a strike action, no one really wins.

Wisdom is profitable to direct, don't compare with others and timing is key to every action.

#Timing and patient consideration is key to getting result.
